Training in Interpersonal Communication
Halvorsbøle International Retreat Center, Oslo
April 27 – May 5, 2024

A unique opportunity for personal growth, beneficial both for oneself and for society.

We are happy to invite Acem meditators from all countries to this very special event. The training is suitable for both beginners and people with previous experience of Acem communication courses.

From the beginning of the course, you will discover that there is a lot beneath the surface of everyone. During the week, you will better understand what is hidden behind the communication. Read what two participants say:

Thomas Waldschmidt – automation engineer, Germany

The course was an intense experience: spending a week with people with different personalities who had not met before was very different from other social environments.

In group sessions, activities and tasks we reacted differently to the same situations and reflected on how we had responded. We were able to identify the different levels of communication and explore the underlying reasons for them. I found it very useful and interesting to hear and discuss different perspectives within the group. I also learned a lot about what was going on inside me and was able to discover interesting sides of myself. Also, I appreciate that we have had so much time together to experiment and get to know each other better.

All in all, I'm glad I attended this year and want to participate again. I think the course has started something in me. I return home curious about how I will relate to others from now on.

Alexia Delecourt – postgraduate in digital transformation, Barcelona, Spain

I thought I knew a lot about myself before the course, but I learned a lot more during the week. There were many things that I was not aware of. I gained new insights about myself, both about how others perceive me and how I perceive myself. Although I learned the most from the communication group, other groups and activities were also important and useful. There were many different ways to learn.

Even though there were no school classes during the week, what I learned feels like a “superpower.” The new superpower is useful. I used to take things for granted regarding the image and perception that others had of me. I now think differently about how we interact with each other, both my own interaction with people and how others interact with me. I'm also more aware of how I project my own things into the world.

I thought I knew a lot about myself before the course, but I learned a lot more during it. There were many aspects of myself that I had not been aware of and I gained new insight. I learned more from the communication group, especially about how others perceive me and how I perceive myself. But we were provided with different paths to learning; other groups and activities were also important and helpful.

What I've learned feels like a “superpower”: I notice that I analyze things differently and am more aware of how I interact with people and how others interact with me. I've also started to see how I project my things into the world.

In Halvorsbøle I also enjoyed the close contact with nature, the beautiful landscape and surroundings, and we went hiking in the mountains.
